Summary0006404: Support of DataTypes in OPC UA Servers - confusing statement
Description

Part 5, Section 12.1 states: "An OPC UA Server need not expose its DataTypes in its AddressSpace. Independent of the exposition of DataTypes, it shall support the DataTypes as described in the following subclauses." The subsequent sections list probably all standard OPC UA DataTypes.

This seems to imply that all OPC UA Servers must support all DataTypes, irrespective of the complexity and needs of the application. I believe this is not what the spec tries to say.

I think we should clarify this statement.

the current text "An OPC UA Server need not expose its DataTypes in its AddressSpace. Independent of the exposition of DataTypes, it shall support the DataTypes as described in the following subclauses" is poor and should be rewritten.

Need to explain what the over for this clause. Review the overall clause and create an appropriate overview.

Rewrote the Overview clause, and renamed it to General to match other similar introductory clauses. It now simple states that the following clauses define DataTypes
