Summary0005775: Imprecise wording in 'BrowseNames' regarding namespace index and example
Description

I think the part “a namespace index prefix like ‘0 :EngineeringUnits’ is added” is misleading/wrong.
Possible, formally correct wordings could be:
1) “a namespace index prefix like ‘0’ is added to the BrowseName (e.g. ‘0:EngineeringUnits’).”
2) “a namespace index prefix is added to the BrowseName (e.g., prefix ‘0’ leading to ‘0:EngineeringUnits’).”

Reason for why I think my proposal is more precise:
‘:EngineeringUnits’ is not a namespace index prefix. Only ‘0’ is the prefix. See the table listing the namespaces and their indexes.
Currently I have the impression of an imprecise mix-up of rule/definition and example stuffed in one sentence.

Summary of this issue:

  • ‘0’ is a prefix/namespace-index,
  • ‘0:EngineeringUnits’ is an example
The companion specification template should reflect this differentiation.
