Table 2 contains the string "--" two times. Microsoft Word's detection, where a string begins and ends, i.e. which of the two typographic quotation mark characters to choose, fails here.
--> The string has opening quotation mark on both sides.
Note: For fixing this, you have to play this trick with Word: Add another quotation mark at the end which will become a closing one and then delete the previous opening quotation mark.
