Summary0004255: Part 14 PubSub - AMQP mapping - endpoints are not defined.
Description

In the section 7.3.4.1 the specification states :

Publishers send AMQP messages to AMQP endpoints. Subscribers listen to AMQP endpoints for incoming messages.

Unfortunately AMQP specification defines the following endpoints:

  • Connection
  • Session
  • Link

Only a link provides a unidirectional transport for messages between a source and a target. Link is named so information about mapping must be provided in this section. This mapping is very important to promote Publisher/Subscriber interoperability.

There are working implementations and there are no known open issues.
